This is a song the me and my guitarest and singer do for our band.
An old robert johnon song.
The singer used a coffecan to sing with on the vocals i thought it was a great ideal.
He has a great delta blues voice.

Random Rock

Here's one I made earlier. 3 years earlier in fact. I was 17 and just learning to mix and stuff...It's had a little mastering polish since then, but not alot, and the recording is just as I did it originally. Again - excuse the Fruity Loops 3 drums *shudders*.

Ya I'm aware the lead timing is sloppy in places - partly because of latency, partly because it was made up on the spot in one take, partly because I sucked.

I dunno why I posted this, I just thought it was catchy. Besides I'm short of electric stuff until I get my equipment sorted out so this will have to do! Hope it isn't too bad. Oh, and I couldn't afford mics or anything so the distortion is all software (codeword for 'shite'). Also meant that it was pretty much impossible to do any pinched harmonics :(

Peace.

Actually...

PLEASE BE SURE TO VOTE AND POST ... and stuff. (the "and stuff" isn't as important 8) )

The full name of the song is:

Acutally, 'Sorry' Wasn't the First Thing that Came to Mind

this was NOT the first song i started doing, though i liked the feel of it, so i paused everything else to work on it. hope you all enjoy. it's short and to the point, which is exactly how i wanted it to be. lyrics are below.

This is short, sweet, and simple, like the line you drew between us
I need to hurry to get it all in
I can't afford to waste by breath
You know... places to go, people to see
Oh, and I've got to do this... thing...
This is the last time I'll try
Because you keep on going just closing doors
And this is the last time I'll write you:
"I've had enough. --Forever yours."
Don't know what I was thinking, and I'm tired of breaking

Over and over we did this
We live in second-hand hate
I wish to forgive...
But we weren't on the same team

This summer was a dance floor, dark and hot
Just like you
It was all because of you
Like the last time I tried, I don't buy it
But back when I did
No kidding, I just about died
Look, I just really don't need this
For as much as you do, I'm rather confused
Don't know what I was thinking, I'm just so tired of thinking

Over and over we did this
We live in second-hand hate
I wish to forgive...
But we weren't on the same team

This is short, sweet, and simple, like the line you drew between us
Mmkay, maybe not so sweet
But I've been looking for a reason ever since you stabbed me to forget your face

full title: 'Til the sun punches back

This was done several months ago through a poor mic -- I've got a new one now and will get around to rerecording this when I get done with any new stuff I'm working on. as it is, I had to do some pretty heavy filtering to get it to sound as good as it does, which resulted in a little "tinniness", especially on the vocals. Otherwise, just a little song about you know what. Enjoy

Hopefully a version with real drums and some vocals will be possible in the near future, but this can give you the general idea.
Ode To Big Jim

"Big Jim" ( Jim Hood ) was a good friend and an exceptional guitarist with a southern - rock style band in Upstate N.Y., my hometown of Watertown. He was known and loved by all, was a great musician, and a great human being. He was killed on the way home from a gig by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign. This song just reminded me of his style and prompted me to name the tune as such. A critique of one of my other songs stated that I might be better off writing instrumentals. That will never happen because I love to sing...bad or good. However, I took it to heart this one time and I'm glad I did. This one's for you "Big Jim". R.I.P.

This is the first song I successfully recorded at home. Not the best recording but I enjoyed the process. Lyrics are a bit sad but oh well.

Traveler

I think this song has great potential. It was pretty much my test song - the first one that i did using sonar 3 (or any multitrack recording program for that matter). I spent a lot of time getting it to where it is, but it still isn't finished. the vocal track only completes one verse. lead guitar is a tad too loud. I used too much distortion in those days anyway. The drums on this one are also loops because, again, no drummer. still, I had a blast recording and producing this song.

I wanna be a ninja

This is a song that is mostly an instrumental song. The lead singer on stage takes his shirt off and wraps it on his head like a ninja. Then he takes swords and runs around the crowd all crazy. yeah

By the way the lead singer is me lol

Longing to be

Recorded quite some time ago and never actually made it in a battle. So here it is again. I hope you enjoy this because I no longer have this recording ability. I had a very close friend that had a studio do this with me. Now I live somewhere else. So I will dedicate this to Bert, thanks for all your help, especially on drums and bass!

Just A Phase

Hi All,

I've been browsing around - some very interesting and well done stuff here! I'd thought I'd post my most recent track, all recorded at home by me. I wouldn't yet call this a "final" cut, I will probably add some harmony vocals at some point...but I'd love to hear some other musicians' opinions of it, and this looked like a good constructive place to do so...

Thanks for listening, and hope you enjoy.

This is an old song thats been here for a long time. It was the first thing I recorded on my Pocket Studio. My friend did the bass and keys for me. I just did the guitar and well the 2 drum beats are courtesy of the Tascam. Enjoy!
